Buddy
En el colegio cada alumno internacional tiene asignado un alumn@ canadiense que es su buddy. Este buddy es como tu nuevo mejor amigo, si tienes problemas para encontrar tus clases tu buddy siempre te va a ayudar, por eso es bueno que el día en el que te presentan a tu buddy intercambiéis números por si tienes algún problema.
Si necesitas cualquier cosa y tu buddy no está disponible por cualquier motivo siempre puedes preguntar a cualquier alumno que estará encantado de ayudarte y si no puedes pedir ayuda a la directora/el director del colegio.

In the school all the interntional students have a Canadian student that is their buddy. This buddy is like your new best friend, if you have problems finding your classes, your buddy will help you. For this reason is good to have your buddy's number just in case you have a problem.
If you need something but your buddy is busy you can always ask somebody else for help. Canadians will love to help you.
Skype and home
Escribo sobre el uso del Skype porque es importante que hables con tus padres, pero no es bueno que estés todo el día hablando con ellos porque te pierdes las diferentes actividades que haces con tu familia de acogida e incluso puedes llegar a pasarlo mal porque no estás en tu casa con tus padres (homesick). Por eso, yo te recomiendo que hables con tus padres por Skype 1-2 veces a la semana, y el resto de los días pues hablas un poco por whatsapp con ellos y ya está. (Eso es lo que yo estoy haciendo y de momento llevo muy bien mi estancia aquí jaja).

I write about the use of Skype because it's important to talk with your parents, but it's not good to spend all the day talking with them because while you are doing that you are missing all the different Canadian activities that your host-parents want to do with you. Also you can get homesick.
Therefore, I recommend you to talk with your parents once or twice a week by Skype and the rest of the days of school just talk by whatsapp. (This is what I'm doing and I'm really good here).
Canadian Friends
Hacer amigos canadienses es una de las cosas más importantes que tienes que hacer cuando estas aquí. Cuantos más amigos canadienses tengas mejor te lo vas a pasar.
El punto de esto es que tus amigos canadienses te van a enseñar cosas típicas de su país y están encantados de aprender cosas del tuyo. Mis amigos canadienses nos han enseñado a todos los internacionales el baile tradicional de Cape Breton y ahora siempre que tenemos alguna fiesta con internacionales y canadienses siempre ponemos la canción y todos bailamos. Es muy divertido jajajja.

Making Canadian friends is one of the most important things that you have to do while you are here. The most Canadian Friends you have, the best time you will have here.
The point of this is that your Candian friends are going to show you all the typical things they have here and they would love to know about your country. My Canadian friends showed all the internationals the dance that is typical here in Cape Breton and now everytime we have a party with them we always play the song and we dance. It is really funny hahaha.
